About My Spa

Complexions Salon and Spa for Beauty & Wellness originally opened in 1987 as Complexions Professional Skin Care.  As the spa industry evolved over time, we expanded three times and became Complexions Salon and Spa for Beauty & Wellness.  Our services grew to encompass all of the classic spa services, including a hair design studio.  Most recently, May of 2008, we completed our fourth expansion and moved into our new home located at 221 Wolf Road in Albany, New York.   We doubled our size and built the first Gold LEED Certified Spa for “new construction” in the country. We are registered with the US Green Building Council.   We also received a bronze plaque from NYSERDA for our Energy Efficiant practices, Small Business of the Year from Energy Star for 2008, as well as Salon Today’s Salon of Distinction for 2009.  Today we have an 8500sf. facility which offers century old beauty and wellness rituals from around the world along with the traditional spa treatments.  You can visit our website for a complete description of our menu at www.complexions.com.   It has taken us some time to find the right blend of employees who compliment each other and work well together.  Now, we have a staff of over 40 employees.   I feel we have a special group of individuals who take their time, listen, and provide consistent quality services.  We offer a wonderful selection of fine beauty and wellness products.  We carry Y’tsara, Physician’s Choice, Kneipp, Yonka, SkinCeuticals, Mor, Rene Furterer, The Art of Shaving, and Go Smile, just to name a few.  In addition we also offer our Complexions Brand of Eco Friendly Spa Products which contain no parabens or sulfates.  Our facility is  an Internationally accredited CIDESCO Beauty Center,  one of only a small number  in the United States.   We have been featured in national magazines, news paper articles, television shows, and radio.
